We tried a top and expensive projector
Samsung has given us a unique opportunity to test the Premiere projector, specifically the SP-LSP9T model, whose recommended price is € 6,499. The testing took place in the Devín Hotel in a characteristic room called Premiere. Everything was ready, I came, turned on and could test.
You can easily transfer the projector, the screen no longer
The device consists of two main parts. The projector is quite large, but not a single person will have a problem carrying it. This cannot be said of the supplied canvas, for which two people are needed. However, this is not a device that you will carry regularly.

It works a little differently than a classic projector. All you have to do is place it a few centimeters in front of the screen, the transmitted image has a diagonal of 255 to 330 centimeters. The resolution is 4K, a brightness of 2800 lumens and a contrast of 2,000,000: 1 and supports HDR10 +. Of course, you can enjoy the picture best in the dark, but I was pleasantly surprised even when I pulled back the curtains. Thanks to the high brightness, I saw the image quite comfortably.
By the way, the picture can also be projected classically on the wall, but the experience certainly does not match the canvas. The base from which the canvas is rolled out also contains a button with which you can easily set how much it should be rolled.
Although I tested the projector with an additional soundbar, it also includes its own speaker. He plays quite decently and is definitely enough, but the experience after connecting with proper speakers does not match.
You can also connect Samsung The Premiere to a smartphone
It’s not just an ordinary projector, it includes the Tizen operating system for TV, so I have all the smart features at my disposal. Samsung has not forgotten about AirPlay 2, so Apple device owners will also be pleased. I tried it with my MacBook and everything worked fine.
The connection to the smartphone using SmartThings also worked well. I could easily use the smartphone as a controller. The connection itself took less than a minute and was intuitive. If you would like to learn more about the Tizen system as such, I recommend our test of the Samsung Sero TV, in which I described the system in more detail. Of course, since it’s a smart TV, you can also connect an antenna to it.
The controller is classic, exactly as we already know it from Samsung. However, at a price of over 6 thousand euros, I might expect a metal controller, this one is plastic. Nevertheless, I do not feel bad about him, quite the contrary. It holds very well in the hand, pressing the buttons is pleasant. It just wants more valuable materials.
Samsung The Premiere: Review
I enjoyed the short testing. The projector offers everything I would expect at this price. The image is high quality, has 4K resolution and the diagonal is huge. The controller is very good, but it could have been metal. The speakers do not play badly at all and the projector itself can also be carried relatively comfortably (if you can cope with larger dimensions).
One person alone does not transfer the canvas and it is not comfortable at all. This “TV” is suitable for larger rooms and I dare say that in combination with quality speakers it can very well represent a classic cinema.
