Waze will warn users of roads where many accidents occur
A new feature by navigation app Waze is being tested. The application shows users on which roads accidents occur relatively often. It should help motorists to be more alert in these places.
Dangerous roads in Waze
The developers of Waze are testing a new function for the navigation app of the same name. We already know the various notifications from Waze, where you can alert other users to certain conditions on the road. This functionality is now being expanded further. Users are being tested with the display of roads where many accidents occur. This way you will be warned and you can be alert to what is to come.
The message is shown at the bottom of the screen with a yellow exclamation mark. In English, the message ‘History of Crashes’ is mentioned. You can also see when this spot is reached, such as 220 meters further, as shown in the screenshot. According to the reports, the function only shows the message once, so as not to make the driver ‘extra scared’. Waze also offers the option to disable this notification. For now, the feature is only being tested in an unknown number of regions. It is not known when the feature will be widely rolled out.
