New episodes of Stranger Things are causing Netflix to crash
Everyone is watching the new episodes of Stranger Things and this is why Netflix is freezing.
The Stranger Things series is – we can say that – incredibly popular. It’s about a girl with super powers and a dark upside-down world where, of course, all kinds of creepy crawlies are hiding. The science fiction horror series was created by the Duffer brothers. The first episodes appeared in 2016.

There are currently new episodes on the streaming service. Apparently so many people were watching at once that Netflix couldn’t handle it. This caused the service to crash. But is it a clever marketing stunt to entice even more viewers? All attention is taken. It could just be, Netflix as a company is not doing well at the moment. This morning the service was down, but now it is working properly again.
Today the last two episodes of the fourth season were put online.
According to viewers, Netflix was only down for a few minutes. This was when the episodes were put online. This is not the last installment of the series, by the way. There is still a fifth season that many people are waiting for.

The series is so successful because it has massive marketing. Not just from Netflix, but other companies are jumping on it too. Think of Lego, which has recreated a The Upside Down. Or Polaroid that made a special camera. This is not all. No, Levi, Quicksilver, H&M, Pull&Bear, Karl Kani have also incorporated the series in their collection. And the end is not yet here.
