watchOS 10 is a major update for the Apple Watch. The interface, in particular, will be thoroughly overhauled.

Apple Watch gets major update with watchOS 10

Every year we get a new update for the Apple Watch. And every time a number of new functions or apps are added. Yet much remains the same. That will change this year, if we can believe the usually reliable Mark Gurman.

In his most recent newsletter, he says that Apple will make major changes with the next update for the Apple Watch (watchOS 10). According to him, much remains the same with iOS 17, but watchOS will change many things.

According to him, this is because the Apple Watch Series 9 is only going to be a minor hardware update. According to rumors, a major update for the hardware of the Apple Watch will not arrive until 2024. This will therefore be the first Apple Watch with a micro-LED screen.

The new version of watchOS 10 will be officially unveiled during WWDC 2023. During this annual event, Apple will present software updates for almost all products. This year the conference will take place from 5 to 9 June.

More software updates during WWDC 2023

In addition to watchOS 10, WWDC 2023 also includes updates for your Mac, iPad, Apple TV, and iPhone. That’s why you can also expect the following updates: iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS 14.

It remains to be seen how big the updates will be this year. This is because the attention of Apple’s developers has been mainly on Apple Reality in recent months.
