Waiting for the new Sony Xperia Compact is probably for nothing

Previously, reports surfaced about a new compact smartphone from Sony. However, the new Xperia Compact will disappoint many fans, according to new reports.

Sony Xperia Compact a disappointment

At the end of January, renders of a new smartphone from Sony appeared. We can expect a new introduction soon, where we will see the Xperia 10 III and Xperia 1 III. There were also reports about a new compact smartphone, and more information is now available.

The Sony Xperia Compact 2021, which may not be the real name, seems to have been chosen for a different strategy. No high-end specs, but average specifications for this device. We are going to see a Snapdragon 690 chipset, which is 5G compatible. Earlier it seemed that the smartphone would get the Snapdragon 775G chipset.

Furthermore, Sony will provide the Xperia Compact with a 5.5 inch screen, which no longer has the 21: 9 ratio. A dual camera with 13MP main camera appears to be placed on the back, and there is also thought of a physical shutter release, fingerprint scanner on the side and a 3.5 millimeter connection for a headset.

Then comes the next bad news; it seems Sony is planning to only release the smartphone in Japan for the time being. The possible name will be Xperia Ace 2.
