New Netflix series under fire before it can be seen

Scandalous things are said to have taken place on the set of a Danish Netflix series. The American streaming service is in the shirt.

To what extent are you allowed to do things to make a series or film look real? There are always limits to what is and isn’t possible. The whole discussion started this year after the tragic incident on a film set in which actor Alec Baldwin was allegedly responsible for the death of a camerawoman. This time, the discussion resurfaces, with another incident.

This is a new Netflix series, produced by Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn. On the Danish production, a pig would have been slaughtered for a particular scene. A whistleblower made the announcement to PETA news agency. The police are said to be involved in the case. The Danish animal protection organization is also involved.

Netflix has yet to comment on the news. If the whistleblower’s statement is correct, the Netflix production could be in trouble. Just killing an animal for entertainment may be illegal. Given the reputation of Netflix, this whole thing is going to have a tail. It is unclear to what extent this new Danish series was already included and what the consequences will be if it is indeed true.
