Using ChatGPT with Siri and Commands – that’s how it works
Do you often use Siri and can you no longer live without ChatGPT? Then there’s good news, because the ChatGPT app finally has official support for Siri, via the Shortcuts app.

Using ChatGPT with Siri
In recent months, ChatGPT has taken over the internet very quickly. The service makes it possible for anyone with an account to chat with an AI. The chatbot then provides detailed answers to the questions you ask or the comments you make. The free ChatGPT app can now also be downloaded in the Netherlands and Belgium and now finally has support for Siri.

ChatGPT’s official app has been released in several countries around the world in recent weeks, but it hasn’t worked well with Siri yet. That has now changed, because OpenAI has given the application support for the Assignments app. And as a result, you can finally put it to good use with Siri as well. We explain how it works.
Siri now works with ChatGPT
Previously it was already possible to operate ChatGPT with Siri via a detour. A task could then be added in Assignments, but this was quite complicated. Fortunately, the ChatGPT app itself now has support for Siri. For the best experience, you must have given Siri permission to show ChatGPT and the content of the app. You do this as follows:
- Open ‘Settings’ on your iPhone or iPad;
- Go to ‘Siri and search’;
- Scroll down and open ‘ChatGPT’;
- Turn on the switches under ‘While searching’.
ChatGPT’s app gets really handy with the support for Apple’s Shortcuts app. This is how you can perform tasks in Assignments related to the ChatGPT app. Think of having summaries of texts made or automatically opening the app in certain situations. It is now possible to simply tap the ChatGPT app in Assignments when creating a new task.
Update ChatGPT’s app
These new ChatGPT features work with the latest version of the app. So make sure you update the ChatGPT app before you get started with Siri and Assignments.
