Twitter: put a warning on the content of a particular tweet

Twitter added a new option which allows you to put a warning on the content of a specific tweet. Until now, it had to be all tweets or none of them.

How to put a warning on the content of a particular tweet

This feature hides individual photos and videos behind warnings of nudity, violence and sensitive content, rather than adding a general warning to all tweets. It is available on Twitter’s iOS and Android applications, as well as on the web version of the social network.

To put a warning, simply choose a photo or video when creating the tweet, touch the edit button (with the paintbrush), select the flag icon and then choose the warning in question: nudity, violent or sensitive. Once the tweet is posted, users will see the blurred content and can then tap to view it normally.

Note that the Twitter disclaimer is only available for tweets with a photo or video. It is not possible to put one on a tweet that only includes text. It would have been nice to have a category for movie or series spoilers, but it’s not available at the moment.
