What you’re looking at is a hybrid racing wheel. This means that a special system has been devised that makes it possible to set the Force Feedback differently on the basis of the belt and sprockets. There are three Force Feedback presets. Just take an afternoon to get everything set up for your favorite racing games and you’re good to go.
The new Thrustmaster T248 is 70% more powerful compared to previous models of the brand’s hybrid racing wheels. Not only the technology in the housing has made strides. The appearance is also quite different. You have an onscreen screen that can display more than 20 views. For example, you can adjust the angle of rotation of the handlebars or the type of Force Feedback. But also display gear ratio, speed, number of laps, rider position, fastest time and much more. At the back of the steering wheel are magnetic paddle shifters with a response time of just 30 ms. Always included is the T3PM pedal set including a clutch pedal.
As of today it is possible to place a pre-order for the Thrustmaster T248. The steering wheel will actually be available from October 21. The suggested retail price is €349.99.
