The free TerraTime app is primarily a world clock app, as you can add different places to view the current time, and via home screen widgets you can always keep track of the time at those added places. You can also quickly see the difference with the time zone you are in.

Yet at the same time, TerraTime is much more than a simple world clock, because the app also comes with a beautiful 3D representation of the earth. You can see the position of the sun in real time and the app can also show the clouds on the earth based on satellite images. You also see the street lighting in cities on the 3D animation.

Augmented reality

TerraTime also has a handy augmented reality (AR) function, because you can view the cycle that the sun takes together with your phone’s camera. You see in an overlay of the camera the lines in which the sun moves along with the times indicated on them.

Most of the functions of TerraTime are just free, but if you want an ad-free display with extra options on top, then you should choose the paid version.
