Netflix subscription with advertising: now available

It had been a while since Netflix wasn’t happy with the number of subscribers they had. According to the streaming service, they lost a lot of revenue because Netflix subscribers shared their login details with friends and acquaintances.

Now they have been trying to prevent you from sharing this data for some time, but not with much success. After all, it is still possible to let your aunt or uncle use your Netflix account.

For the time being, the advertising subscription can only be taken out in Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, England and America. When the Netflix subscription with advertising is available, you can stream videos in 720p (HD-ready). You also get to see four to five minutes of advertising every hour. These commercials each last 15 to 30 seconds. You get to see them before and during films and series.

Incidentally, not all programs are available with the cheaper subscription with advertising. This is due to licenses and specific agreements. Netflix has not yet indicated which films and series you will miss…
