Apple launches macOS 13.2.1

Apple has released a number of new updates. With iOS 16.3.1, iPadOS 16.3.1 and macOS 13.2.1 you can move forward again. They aren’t major updates, but that doesn’t make them any less important. You really have to install the update of macOS Ventura in particular.

macOS 13.2.1: An important security update

The new macOS update solves an important problem with WebKit. WebKit is the software that runs Safari, which is vulnerable to dangerous code because of this problem in macOS. That is why it is important that this security problem is fixed as soon as possible.

The problem with WebKit was now generally known, so that the security problem has already been exploited considerably. Exactly how often this has happened and how many Mac users have been affected is not clear. So the problem has been fixed in macOS 13.2.1.

This is how you install the new macOS update

To install macOS 13.2.1, your MacBook must be sufficiently charged or connected to the charger. To install the macOS update:

Install macOS 13.2.1 on Mac

  1. Open ‘Settings’;
  2. Go to ‘General’;
  3. Choose ‘Software update’;
  4. Install the latest version of macOS.
