Samsung has a new tablet in the works and we have a picture of it. Renders of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have appeared. They are not officially from Samsung, but made by OnLeaks (via MySmartPrice).

The large tablet with its 14.6-inch screen can be seen in black on the renders, with no major visual changes if we compare it to Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, the predecessor that appeared on April 30, 2022. Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is a big boy with dimensions of 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5 millimeters.

So it fits in a backpack, but it doesn’t fit in the average handbag. You do have more screen to multitask or watch large films and series, for example. The screen is 2960 x 1848 pixels. We wrote earlier that it is an AMOLED screen and that the device has 16 GB of memory.

In that screen we see a notch with a selfie camera. Remarkably, the device has an IP rating of IP68, which means it can withstand water and dust very well, which is rare in tablets, especially whoppers like this one. The processor is very modern: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, which we previously experienced on the Galaxy S23 smartphone series that appeared at the beginning of this year.

The device also weighs a bit at 737 grams, but that is also because it has a large battery of no less than 11,200 mAh, which can be charged with 45 watts. The device is expected in July, along with the brand’s new foldable smartphones and the new Galaxy Watch 6.

We are curious how Samsung will use the tablet: more on working comfort, or more in the field of entertainment? Of course it can be useful for both functions, but because Samsung made quite the switch to the more businesslike with the S8, we are very curious how the brand will approach this for the new S9 line.
