In March we already saw what the screen in which you enter the question looks like. This is the screenshot in question, and it’s from the iOS version of WhatsApp Beta (22.9.0.70). You will see the question and below it the possible options to choose from. Once you’ve checked one of those, tap vote to send the vote. The participants in the chat can then see which choice you have chosen. The poll, including questions and answers, are end-to-end encrypted so that no one can see its contents, not even WhatsApp. Only the participants in the group can see the poll.
When will the poll come to WhatsApp?
The feature is still under development in WhatsApp beta, and it is still not possible to create and send polls. As soon as WhatsApp has finished testing, the feature will be rolled out to the stable version. At the editors, we also do not see the function in WhatsApp Beta yet. You can add polls in Telegram since 2018, and Twitter also has a similar function. WhatsApp officially announced the emoji reactions and Communities last week.
