iOS 16.2 coming in December (and these are the best new features)

The usually reliable Mark Gurman has said in his most recent newsletter that iOS 16.2 will be released as early as December.

The latest update for the iPhone has some cool new features. We’ve listed the best features for you, including the new Freeform app and fresh widgets.

iPad 2022 review: Who is this iPad for?

Last October, Apple announced the tenth generation entry-level iPad: the iPad 2022. We were able to test the tablet and have mixed feelings.

In terms of design, the iPad is moving in the right direction, but the hardware is somewhat old-fashioned. It is therefore unclear exactly which target group Apple wants to reach. Moreover, the ‘ordinary’ iPad has become considerably more expensive and is therefore no longer really an entry-level model.

Too bad: ‘Only iPhone 15 Pro gets USB-C’

Apple would have preferred it otherwise, but has no choice. Next year’s iPhones must have a USB-C connection due to European legislation that will then apply.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a generally reliable Apple analyst, all iPhone 15 variants will receive this new connection, but the fastest version is reserved for the Pro models.

Photos have surfaced of a prototype Apple MagSafe charger. The special thing about this is that it can also be used as a stand. Why are we glad Apple didn’t release this?

Very simple: because the product does not work. You can only charge your iPhone by placing it in landscape mode. That might be useful for videos, but not in a charger.

Finally! Netflix lets you remove hitchhikers from your account for free

It’s been a long wait, but the streaming service has finally added a simple feature to its iOS app.

With this new feature from Netflix you can remove unwanted hitchhikers from your account. This appears to be a precursor to the expected crackdown on password sharing in 2023.

Forget the AirPods Max 2: Sonos is coming with headphones in 2023

Do you already have a set of AirPods Max or are you waiting for Apple to finally release the AirPods Max 2? Soon you may be able to ignore Apple’s headphones, because Sonos wants to come up with their own high-end headphones in 2023.

It is rumored to be over-ear headphones. These types of headphones have large earcups that completely enclose your ears so that you are less bothered by ambient noise. The AirPods Max also have these ear cups.
