Samsung is doing good business with the devices in the Galaxy S23 series. The new devices are well received and they also break several records. Now a message is going around about the screen of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, that would not always be cool. What is going on?

Defective screen of S23 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is a great device. The device already proved that in our very extensive Galaxy S23 Ultra review. Still, some messages are now popping up about the screen of the device. Some users of the phone are seeing some kind of defect in the corner of the screen. This is a small deviation in the screen, with which it does not look completely cool and smooth. In some cases this is only visible under very specific lighting conditions.

It looks like some kind of bubble in the bottom corner of the S23 Ultra’s display. The bubble that can be seen has no effect on the display of the screen, but users are concerned about this, given the price of the smartphone. Inquiries show that this complaint also occurred with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the predecessor of the current S23 Ultra.

Can confirm that every Galaxy S23 Ultra unit in this store (all demo units and my unit) has this “defect” at the bottom right part of the *display*.

When we look at Samsung’s response from last year, it becomes clear that this is not a defect. The response on Samsung’s Taiwanese website is as follows;

The display panel is a component composed of multiple components (surface tempered glass, dustproof, waterproof layer…), Under strong light, lines after refraction of light can be seen at certain angles. This is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the function and life of the product.
