You can watch unlimited videos on YouTube, but if you don’t have a paid account you often (very often) see commercials these days. With a paid YouTube Premium account, the advertising disappears, but you pay 11.99 euros per month for the subscription. There are cheaper subscriptions, but then you don’t get YouTube Music with it.
That’s a lot of money, but with this hack it’s pretty easy to get a lot cheaper (almost free) YouTube Premium. You do need a VPN and a credit card for that.
Set up VPN for the YouTube hack
With a VPN you can, among other things, adjust your own location. Apps and websites thus make you believe that you are from Great Britain, the United States, Japan or another country. The great thing about this is that with a VPN on YouTube you also get the prices of the country you have set.
For example, YouTube Premium in India costs 139 (about 1.60 euros), which is a considerable discount compared to the European price. Already have a VPN? Then you can skip the next step and use your own VPN. Make sure you set the country to India.
Using TunnelBear as VPN
Tunnelbear is a great solution for anyone who doesn’t have a VPN yet. Tunnelbear is available for iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC. However, it is easiest to do these steps on your Mac or PC.
- Download the software from the TunnelBear website;
- Install the software, create a free account and log in;
- Set the connection by clicking on the yellow pipe at a country, choose ‘India’.
