This way you can watch the Belgian ‘De Mol’ from the Netherlands
It’s almost that time again, on Sunday 20 March the tenth season of the Belgian program ‘De Mol’ will start. The Dutch version of this called ‘Wie is de Mol?’ has just ended. However, many Dutch people also like to watch the Belgian version of this television program. This year it quickly became clear that the Dutch will no longer be able to watch via the Play4 website.
Broadcasting rights
Play4, a Flemish commercial television channel, recently shared a first teaser episode about the new season of the Belgian version of Wie is de Mol. It soon became clear to Dutch fans of the program that they could not watch these episodes via the Play4 website. However, this was possible in previous years. Many Dutch mole fanatics immediately shared their disappointment on Facebook and Twitter in the hope of getting answers. In the meantime, Play4 has announced that Dutch viewers will indeed not be able to watch the episodes online this year.
Because NPO has bought the broadcasting rights for the program, the episodes are blocked online for Dutch people. This applies to the regular episodes and to the episodes of ‘Café De Mol’ in which mole theories are discussed every week.

The Dutch mole fans will therefore have to wait a little longer until NPO offers the episodes. Play4 already announced that NPO will do this on their online platform. There is a lot of speculation about when the Dutch Public Broadcasting will make the episodes available. Some believe they have heard that they will try to do this as synchronously as possible with Play4, while others would have heard that it will take a little longer before you can watch the episodes in the Netherlands.

How you can still watch De Mol on Play4
So you can decide to wait until NPO puts the episodes online, but to really be sure that you will not have to deal with spoilers in advance, you can also approach it differently. To watch the episodes on the Play4 website as in previous years, all you need to do is download a VPN. With a VPN you can move your IP address to Belgium and if you go to the Play4 website, the episodes are available again.
