Best affordable smartphone of 2021

A lot of smartphones have been released in the past year, in all kinds of segments. In this article, DroidApp lists the best affordable smartphones of 2021, from roughly to a euro or 200-250 euros. Samsung Galaxy A12

The Samsung Galaxy A12 is a perfect example of a good affordable smartphone. For about 150 euros you have a decent smartphone with a 6.5-inch screen and an HD+ resolution. You can take photos with the quad camera, which has a 48-megapixel lens at your disposal. There is a 5000 mAh battery and the phone has been running on Android 11 since June. The brand does not stop with updates; because security updates are on the horizon for the time being and the update to Android 12 is also waiting. The Samsung Galaxy A12 is a success, and that is not a bad result given its price-quality ratio.

Another brand that has scored high is Poco, with the Poco X3 Pro. The (former) subsidiary of Xiaomi has released the Poco X3 Pro with a Snapdragon 860 chipset, a fast processor from Qualcomm. In addition, the phone has a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ screen, there is at least 128GB of storage space and you can take photos with the quad camera. The hefty 5160 mAh battery can be charged 33W, which is nice and fast. We previously published the Poco X3 Pro review of the smartphone on DroidApp, where it came out of the test with a whopping 9.2. Information about updates is not shared. Security updates are being rolled out, but otherwise there is a lack of clarity.

Samsung Galaxy A22 review

Samsung Galaxy A22

The Samsung Galaxy A22 is a reasonably priced smartphone with a good price-quality ratio. We discussed the phone in our Samsung Galaxy A22 review. The phone has a neat camera with three lenses, including a 48MP main lens. Furthermore, you can be sure of updates for a long time; for example, Android 12 and Android 13 are on the horizon and a security update will appear every quarter for three years. Charging the 5000 mAh battery does take some time.

Do you want a slightly larger device that has a fully charged battery even faster? Then maybe the Moto G60s is worth considering. This device has a large 5000 mAh battery which can be charged with no less than 50 watts. A point of attention is the size; the Moto G60s has a 6.8-inch screen with a Full-HD+ resolution. The devices in this list are the best affordable smartphones 2021, which are also now readily available. Samsung is most clear in its update policy, and that can be an important consideration when purchasing a new smartphone. If you prefer a large device with a large battery, the Moto G60s is an excellent choice.
