Samsung about July patch

The security update of July 2022 has already been made available by Samsung for a series of devices. Google released the update last week, which made it clear that 33 vulnerabilities were addressed with the update. The new security update is usually also optimized by manufacturers with their own patches and improvements. This is also the case with Samsung, where the manufacturer now provides more information about this.

Samsung will tackle 23 more vulnerabilities with the July 2022 security update. These relate to the proprietary Galaxy devices and the proprietary One UI skin. We see weak spots in various parts this month. One vulnerability made it possible to make the Device ID accessible under certain circumstances. We also see fixes in several other cases that are running in the background. We also see a somewhat smaller vulnerability in saving contacts on devices with Android 12.

More Samsung devices will receive the July update in the near future. If you receive the update, please let us know along with a screenshot by sending us an email.
