Samsung has announced an interesting series of smartphones with the Galaxy S22 series. As a new S model and also successor to the Note, there is the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Innovations with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
With the new high-end series from Samsung, the portfolio of the South Korean manufacturer was further expanded in February. The manufacturer has announced the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+ and the Samsung S22 Ultra for this. The telephones are equipped with all the gadgets and possibilities that can come in handy during daily use. Time to dive deeper into the different possibilities that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has to offer.
S Pen
An important feature of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the presence of the S Pen. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is the first Galaxy S smartphone with an integrated S Pen. This means that you can store the S Pen in the device itself. You no longer need a case to store the stylus in it, as was the case with the previous model. With the S Pen you also have a large number of new possibilities that you can use.
The S Pen can be used to write, draw, or operate your phone. According to Samsung, the latency is so good that every line you draw feels as natural as a pen on paper. The S Pen also lets you take handy screenshots, for example. By making a selection with the S Pen, you can save a selected part of the screen as a screenshot. You can also choose from different shapes, for example if you want a circular screenshot, that is made possible with the S Pen.
When taking a screenshot, you can also write directly on the screen. Anyway, this is one of the many advantages that you can write with the S Pen. A handy advantage is, for example, that your handwritten text in the Samsung Notes app can be converted into typed text. By holding the S Pen above the screen it is possible to get certain options, and you can also select text to translate it directly, very handy! You can also make a note directly on the home screen. You can also use the stylus as a remote control, for during a PowerPoint presentation or for taking a photo, where you capture the image with a press of the button of the S Pen.
Camera
The camera has also received a lot of attention in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The smartphone, which we discussed earlier in our Galaxy S22 preview, has a different camera module than the two other devices in the series. The main camera has 108 megapixels, there is a 12 megapixel wide-angle lens and twice a 10 megapixel telephoto lens with support up to a maximum of 10x zoom. Both the hardware and software should now be all set for the best night mode you can find in a camera phone. The large pixel sensor captures more light and lens flare is prevented by means of Super Clear Glass & Lens.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with Vision Booster. A lot of technical terms, but in the end it comes down to effectiveness in practice. We see a bright screen that, thanks to the brightness of up to 1750 nits, prevents the image from glaring. There is a refresh rate of 120Hz which makes scrolling even smoother. Both the front and back of the Galaxy S22 Ultra feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. This makes it even more resistant to drops and scratches. The screen continues on the sides, for an extra luxurious look.
