These are the 10 most sustainable countries in Europe

The topic of sustainability is on everyone’s lips. But what are the different criteria for sustainability? In our weekly ranking we show you the ten most sustainable countries in Europe.

There is no question that climate protection is now essential in order to stop climate change. A few nations have already taken some measures to make everyday life more sustainable. But which countries are regarded as pioneers?

The most sustainable countries in Europe

Whether recycling rate, household and food waste, consumer footprint or the number of flea and street markets: The voucher portal Savoo has examined the most sustainable countries in Europe.

The evaluation is based on a scale of up to ten points and also refers to the Sustainable Development Report (SDG index). In the following ranking we present the results and thus the most sustainable countries in Europe.

10th place: Germany

Germany lands too 5.9 points in tenth place in the ranking. The recycling rate is high in this country, but so is the amount of textile waste at 391,752 tons per year.
