The Swiss company for air quality technology IQAir has determined the German cities with the highest air pollution using historical data from 2017 to 2021. The value of fine dust is based on the unit μg/m³ (micrometers per cubic meter) within a year.

10th place: Krefeld

Krefeld is in tenth place in the ranking. In 2021, the level of air pollution there was at 12.9 µg/m3. The city on the Lower Rhine is home to more than 220,000 people.
