These 10 cities have the most comprehensive offer

Car sharing is a popular means of transportation, especially in big cities. In our weekly ranking, we show you which cities currently have the most comprehensive range and the largest fleet.

The advantages of car sharing are not just about sustainability. Since the most Users do not own a car, but rent a car with other parts, they relieve traffic. Financial aspects and the parking situation also play a major role for the proponents of car sharing.

But not everywhere in Germany there is an extensive offer. The Bundesverband Carsharing (bcs) has with its Car sharing city ranking 2022 Therefore, for the fifth time in a row, the car sharing offer in German cities and communities has been determined.

The analysis is based on the number of vehicles per 1,000 inhabitants. In the following ranking we present the results.

10th place: Darmstadt

Darmstadt is in tenth place in the ranking of the cities with the most extensive car sharing offers. 199 vehicles are available there. This corresponds to a share of 1.25 per 1,000 inhabitants.
