TomTom is a well-known name for in the car and various systems and apps are available for this. With TomTom Go Ride you have an app for your motorcycle.

A well-known name in the car is Eva, or Bram… or Xander; TomTom’s voices. Although in recent years more and more things have been taken over by other apps such as Google Maps, Waze and Flitsmeister, TomTom is still widely used. For example, we previously wrote the TomTom Go Navigation review for in the car. You can literally go anywhere with this. But for the motorcyclist there is a lot less choice. TomTom now jumps into that hole and comes up with TomTom Go Ride. This app is still being tested, but can already be downloaded and used of course.

The TomTom Go Ride app is a new navigation app for motorcyclists. It brings the best motorcycle navigation experience to the smartphone, the company promises. No special fuss either, just what you need. When you start the app, you immediately get the option to enter the destination. Here you get three options for your route. Choose the fastest route, an exciting route or a super exciting route. This gives you more challenge on your route with curves and hills.

You can add multiple stops. While navigating your route, you will receive the necessary information with route instructions. If you zoom in, you get the 3D view, if you zoom out, you get an overview of the entire route. You also receive traffic information from TomTom, so that the route planning can be taken into account immediately.

Beta and download

TomTom Go Ride is currently in beta. This means that you may encounter errors. It also means you can expect new features. In the future it will be possible to share rides with friends, for example to ride with someone again later.

The application can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store via the button below. An alternative can be the Calimoto app.
