watchOS 8.7.1 update (but not for everyone)
Apple has released a new update for watchOS. But the update to watchOS 8.7.1 is not available for everyone to download.

Update to watchOS 8.7.1 is now available for download
The update to watchOS 8.7.1 is a small but important download for the Apple Watch. At least, if you have an Apple Watch Series 3. The update fixes an annoying bug in the software, but is only available for the older Apple Watch. The update ensures that the Apple Watch Series 3 will no longer randomly restart.
If you have an Apple Watch Series 4 or newer, you will not see the update and it is therefore not possible to install the patch. That’s not a bad thing, because the reboot issue that the update fixes is only present on the Apple Watch Series 3.
watchOS 8.7.1: Install Update
Do you have an Apple Watch Series 3? Then it is important to install the update. To do this, follow the steps below.
- Open the ‘Watch’ app on your iPhone;
- Tap ‘General’;
- Then choose ‘Software update’;
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
