The Google Pixel 6 series is great, but it’s having trouble. How to solve them?

Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro have been on the market for a long time, but unfortunately Google has not avoided labor pains this year either. Personally, we did not have any serious problems during the reviews of both the basic version and the Pro model, but some users (including some of our readers) encounter them, so in this article we will summarize most of the known problems and possibly their solutions.

1. Display flashing

It is definitely worth mentioning the special flicker of the display even when the phone is turned off. To make the display flash, you have to press the power button. We did not notice a problem on either phone. One of our readers also had this problem, and Google has not yet released a fix. This is due in the December update.

2. Slow fingerprint reader

We will deal with this part slow fingerprint readerwhich was one of our main criticisms in the review as well. The US giant recently issued a statement that the reader is slower due to security algorithms. It’s nice that Google thinks of our security, but at the same time, we would expect everything to work like this. Fortunately, according to the latest information, he is going an update that should significantly speed up the reader.

3. Failed fingerprint reader

Another problem is also related to the fingerprint reader, which it will stop working if your phone runs out of power. The only option is to reset the phone, Google knows about the bug and should fix it in one of the other updates as well.

4. Signal outages

Some users (although most of them come from the UK) also have a problem that they lose the signal out of nowhere. We haven’t encountered anything like this in person, but restarting the phone or turning off 2G networks should help. For more information, check out the official Google Support Forum.

5. Non-functional 5G / VoLTE and other problems

So these are the most well-known problems that revolve around Google Pixel 6 phones. As we told you in the review, unfortunately in the Czech Republic at the moment 5G or VoLTE does not work. Although the phone supports both functions, the Czech operators did not make them available. This also applies to last year’s Pixel 5, which also offers support for 5G networks, unfortunately you will not be able to operate it in our country.

Some very rare cases have appeared on the Internet some time ago, such as two physical shots on display at Pixel 6 Pro. however, such problems are so specific that it makes no sense to elaborate on them. If you happen to have a similar problem, report your phone straight away.
