Discord under test on M1 Macs

The Discord application for Mac M1 is currently in alpha (canary) version. We must therefore expect potential bugs during use. Then will come the beta phase and the final version. But there is currently no information regarding the availability date. If you don’t want to wait, Click here to download the alpha version.

Native support for Mac M1 improves the overall experience, rather than running the Intel version using Rosetta. The first user feedback on Reddit are generally positive. Some still note that everything is not perfect, but it is mainly because of Electron (on which Discord relies).

For those who don’t know, Discord is a messaging app that touches on different areas. The service is particularly popular with players. But video games aren’t the only ones attracting people. There are also sites, services, and more that go through Discord to act as customer service, a member-chat platform, and more. In the spring, Microsoft wanted to buy the platform for more than 10 billion dollars, but the project finally fell through.
