February was a month full of news about smartphones and more. Partly thanks to the Mobile World Congress. But there was more. What were the best apps and what were the most important news?

Android in February

Despite February having only 28 days this year, there was news for a whole month. Partly thanks to the Mobile World Congress, of which you can find all messages here, because that is too much to mention. Think of the various previews, but also the new screen techniques that are being developed by Samsung and of course the Motorola Rizr with a roll-up screen.

But there was more news around Android and other useful topics. Nokia was there with the new logo, Xiaomi presented its new Xiaomi 13 series and Nokia the G22 and C32, of which you can read our preview here. At the beginning of this month, OnePlus introduced the new OnePlus 11, and also the new OnePlus Pad, for example. Google is releasing the Magic Eraser in the Google Photos app for more devices. Samsung announced that it scores very well with the Galaxy S23 series, which was announced at the beginning of February (preview).

Because of all the many news, we would almost forget that Google also released Android 14. The new update brings these new features. It was also announced that Netflix users who want to share their account may have to pay 6.00 euros per month. Telecom provider Youfone introduces 5G, free for both new and existing customers. ING has confirmed the news that it is working on Google Pay integration. In Instagram you will now find the new note function.

Google’s tasks app has been given a fresh coat of paint. It’s about Google Tasks. The Material You design is used for this. In Google’s tasks app you can create different lists of tasks, and you can also find the reminders from your calendar and the Google Assistant here. The application makes it possible to choose whether you go for the dark or light theme, or whether it should be adjusted automatically.
