The authors explain why they did not show the Halo -apkrig campaign on Gamescom

During Gamescom, we were also interested in how sporadic the participation of Halo Infinite was. Of course, the event, which was delayed by a year, turned out, and we learned the most important thing, the release date, which falls on 8 December. But the game itself was presented only in a film-tuned trailer, and the form of the campaign was a thorn in the side of the fans. The last trailer focused on the story and its form was published last July. Since then, the authors of the 343 Industries studio have focused mainly on multiplayer demonstrations.

Immediately after the end of the fair, questions arose as to why the developers did not present the campaign. The cinematic introduction to the first season of multiplayer probably didn’t offend the fans, but the gameplay from the single would please more. Joseph Staten wrote in an official blog post that he noticed the critics and decided to explain the absence. At the moment, the authors are fully focused on completing the game and fixing all the bugs so that the campaign plays great on all platforms from the old Xbox One to the latest swollen PCs. And according to him, this is a challenging task even for such a large and experienced team.

According to Staten, the authors are in a critical phase of development and it is extremely important for them to avoid any distractions. They should focus only on the most important things. And that’s why they simply can’t focus on preparing trailers or gameplay demos. They drain a huge amount of time and energy. Nevertheless, Joseph Staten assures that the campaign is great, he has played it several times and he always discovers something new. In other words, she assures that her absence does not bode well.

Some fans have concerns

We can only hope he is right. There is no point in discussing the reasons why fans are curious after a long break on the campaign. Some doubts were also due to the fact that Halo Infinite, despite a one-year delay in launch, will lack some of the features that the community took for granted – such as the ability to play a collaborative campaign or The Forge editing tool. Both will arrive later. The promise remains that competitive multiplayer will be free-to-play.

They would not be players so that they still have no doubts about the authors’ words. While there is no doubt that it will take a long time to prepare each video or demo, some fans doubt that Microsoft will not have the strength to finally show such a key element after a long time. Especially when there are only a few months left until the release. They also point out that there is time for other things. Need a new Icebox map for Halo 3.
