T-Mobile has introduced emergency calls via VoLTE. They will be faster and more reliable

T-Mobile Czech Republic launched on Monday, May 17 emergency calls via LTE network, the so-called VoLTE. For these purposes, it will start using the technology as the first operator in the Czech Republic. New offers to callers faster call connection than over existing 2G and 3G networks. The connection will be at the same time superior, because LTE technology can, among other things, eliminate ambient noise. These are calls directed to the numbers 150, 155, 158 and 112.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is a term for a call connected over an LTE network. This connection is possible wherever there is LTE signal coverage. At present, T-Mobile covers 99.8% of the Czech population with the LTE signal.

All emergency calls will also work through VoLTE. For example, routing a call to a local emergency center according to the caller’s location or forwarding the caller’s location to the emergency center. “It simply came to our notice then Massive testing with many types of phones and units of thousands of emergency test calls. The tests were carried out in coordination with all components of the integrated rescue system of the Czech Republic, ”adds the Czech T-Mobile to the introduction of VoLTE for emergency calls.
