Summary of the Nintendo Direct -apkrig event

Nintendo’s nightly broadcast brought perhaps more announcements than many fans had hoped. As usual, we will look at them in a text summary, in which we telegraph the most important thing. To keep track of what happened at the event, even if you don’t have the time or desire to watch the entire recording. The 40-minute stream offered a lot. We have dedicated a separate article to Bayonetta 3, if you miss it in the following list, and here we go…

Mario animated film

As we have known for a long time, Nintendo collaborates with the study of Illumination on an animated film by Mario. It will premiere next year at Christmas and will be dubbed by many stars – Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya-Taylor Joy (Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (Toad) and Seth Rogan (Donkey Kong). And where is the court drummer Maria and other characters from Nintendo Charles Martinet? He is said to have edited several cameo roles in the film.

N64 a Mega Drive klasiky v Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo will expand its Switch Online subscription program with another premium level that will bring games from the Mega Drive and Nintendo 64 consoles. The bonus offer will start in October and offer classics such as Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Ecco the Dolphin, Streets of Rage 2 or Golden Ax. Nintendo will also sell new Switch drivers inspired by those from Mega Drive and N64.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

The famous hero of 2D platformers travels to a three-dimensional post-apocalyptic world. The newly announced game will be released next spring and we will explore a mysterious place full of abandoned remnants of a former civilization.

Chocobo GP

For 2022, Nintendo promises the newly announced game Chocobo GP. These are races inspired by the world of Final Fantasy in the style of Mario Kart. Tracks, power-ups and bonuses are also inspired by the famous saga and its spells. This is an exclusivity for the Switch.

Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars

Yoko Taro is working on a new card RPG and its release is really close. The game will go on sale on October 28 and you can find the demo on Switch even now.

Splatoon 3

Nintendo has shown new footage from the non-violent multiplayer action Splatoon 3. But the game will also offer a story mode called Return of the Mammalians. Splatoon 3 will be released next year.

Metroid Dread

The expected Metroid Dread has received a new trailer. As we have known for a long time, the game will be released on the same day as the new Switch OLED model, ie on October 8. This is a new contribution to this series after many years. There was no Metroid Prime. Not for the old parts, not for the upcoming four.

Project Triangle Strategy

The new tactical RPG from Square Enix Project Triangle Strategy also has a demo version, which is great. The full version will then arrive on March 4. The game was to be significantly improved based on feedback from beta participants.

Disco Elysium – The Final Cut

The non-traditional RPG Disco Elysium will arrive in the Final Cut version on Switch on October 12. This edition offers complete dubbing and extra content compared to the original. The physical version will then arrive next year.

Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise from Capcom will receive an expansion in the summer of 2022 with the subtitle Sunbreak. It is supposed to be a large-scale expansion that will introduce new monsters and places. New stories and quests are a matter of course. It will be a paid DLC similar to Iceborne’s for Monster Hunter World.

Castlevania Advance Collection

As has been speculated, the Castlevania Advance Collection compilation was officially confirmed and announced at the event, which was released straight away. Includes Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and Castlevania: Dracula X games, while you can use new features such as quick save, rewind or map your own controls.

Dying Light a Dying Light 2: Stay Human

Both parts of Dying Light arrive at the Switch. Two thanks to streaming from the cloud and will be available on February 4. It will also offer a free demo. The improved version of the number one with the subtitle Platinum Edition has its premiere scheduled for October 19 and will be a native version.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Nintendo also announced the titles of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will experience their own special broadcasts. The one for Super Smash Bros. will take place on October 5 and will reveal the last character. The stream dedicated to Animal Crossing is scheduled for October later and will focus on content that will arrive in November.

And even that, of course, is not completely complete. Mario Golf: Super Rush has received new free content. Nintendo attracts more mini-games as part of the Mario Party Superstars. The port of the original version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will be released on November 11 on Switch. Even before the Nintendo Direct event, we learned that the title The Forgotten City was also released on Switch thanks to streaming from the cloud. And that the Disney Classic Games Collection, which will include the famous platformers – Aladdin, The Lion King and the Jungle Book in various versions, is heading for the hybrid console alongside other platforms.
