Steam celebrates record: More PC gamers than ever before
Steam is an integral part of many PC gamers, so the platform houses a large part of all games that are available on the German market. Steam was founded around 20 years ago, in 2003. Now there is a new record to celebrate.
Steam: More players than ever
Steam lures PC gamers to the platform with both a wide selection and regular offers. Valve only put a new one there in October 2022 record with 30,029,339 concurrent users, but now it’s time to celebrate a new success. On November 27, 2022, the founder of Steam had 31,906,400 logged-in users and almost 10 million of them were even active in games and programs (source: Gamedeveloper / SteamDB).
The top attended games were the usual suspects with Counter Strike: Global Offensive, DOTA 2, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUPG) and Warzone 2.
What could be the reason for the strong growth? On the one hand, the meanwhile cold weather could be a factor, after all, with the temperatures it is much nicer to sit in the warmth and spend your free time. Steam will soon have even more choices
Ubisoft had offered little choice on Steam for the past few years, but that will change in the coming days. Recently, Ubisoft spokeswoman Jessica Roache confirmed to The Verge that some titles will soon be offered again on the Valve platform (source: The Verge).
This includes hit games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions. The implementation is supposed to be on December 6, 2022 take place – a Santa present for all fans.
