Soon app with the chat robot of WhatsApp

WhatsApp’s new chat robot can indeed be very useful.

WhatsApp is still by far the largest chat service in the world. Of course they want to keep it that way and that’s why they keep coming up with new functions. Now again with this chat robot. With this bot you can ‘app’ if you would like to know everything about the latest updates, for example.

WhatsApp is not averse to copying other features from competitors. Signal and Telegram already have something similar. But let’s be honest: chatbots are indispensable, so why not integrate them into messaging services. The bot within WhatsApp will be something different as we are used to. It only shares information and you can no longer communicate with it.

WABetaInfo came up with this tidbit and says the feature is still in the early stages of development. That is why not much is known about it yet.

The chatbot will look like a regular chat in your contacts list. So you can easily find it (also via the search function). When you click on it you will see a welcome message. This message also gives you more information about what to expect. Think of the first information about the latest functions, all kinds of tips come in and you can learn more about safety. So it sends messages to you.

WhatsApp emphasizes that these messages are also end-to-end encrypted. The question is whether you really benefit from that. It is clear that you cannot say anything back to the bot and these are also standard notifications. At least, until now. Maybe that will change. The feature is still under development, so it will take a long time before you see the chatbot in your contacts. And just like with your other contacts, blocking is possible if you don’t want this at all.
