Sniper Elite 5 will take us to France next year -apkrig
The introduction of new games did not end at The Game Awards. A little unexpectedly outside this program, the British studio Rebellion Developments announced the continuation of its popular series Sniper Elite. The last regular episode came out in 2017, it was the four that took us to Italy. Since then, we’ve seen the Zombie Army 4: Dead War spin-off (2020) and the long-awaited Sniper Elite VR (2021). But it was no secret that there was a sequel. And now the Sniper Elite VR has finally unmasked. It will be released next year and will target the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
You can enter the game alone and with your partner in improved cooperation, where you can share ammunition and items, give orders and treat each other.
The authors promise improved kill cameras, even more interesting maps, real locations full of detail and an improved movement system that will allow you to explore the environment more easily. We will move from Italy to France. The year is 1944 and the hero of the series, Karl Fairburne, must join the French resistance in an effort to weaken the so-called Atlantic Wall and its fortifications. But he soon uncovers a secret Nazi project that threatens to end the war before the Allies invade Europe. This project is called Operation Kraken. Karl must destroy the dangerous officers and thwart the whole event.
Rebellion entices us to a campaign with many famous places, which was captured in the smallest details. The result should be a living environment with several infiltration and extraction points. The new maps are set to be the largest in the series and offer even more sandbox gameplay. Each mission is said to offer a new perspective. You can enter the game alone and with your partner in improved cooperation, where you can share ammunition and items, give orders and treat each other. Improved movement includes sliding on ropes and slides. Ballistics and the whole physics of shooting should be even more advanced.
You can modify and improve your equipment in selected places. The weapons will be completely rearranged according to your preferences. You can also choose ammunition, including non-lethal. The campaign and cooperation have already been discussed, but you can also break into someone else’s campaign as a Nazi sniper and attack a live player, which, according to the authors, should bring a whole new challenge. The last Doom Eternal promised us an invasion, but he never realized it. However, cooperation remains and it is possible to call a friend as Karl when you are in trouble.
Otherwise, the authors are tempted by the exciting classic multiplayer. Here, in addition to the equipment, we will also adjust our appearance, gain experience and awards, and compete in battles for 16 players. And if you still prefer to cooperate, you can join up to three other players and fight waves of increasingly powerful enemies in Survival mode.
Start straight in the Game Pass
As mentioned at the beginning, the license plate of the series, the so-called X-ray kill cameras, will undergo another upgrade. They have to be even more realistic and show the power of each intervention. These scenes can trigger not only snipers, but also pistols and other weapons and show more hits at once in slow motion.
As already mentioned, Sniper Elite 5 will be released next year and will appear right in the Game Pass. You can already add the game to your wish list on Steam, for example. According to the authors, they do not yet plan a version for Switch. The game will be released physically and digitally and pre-orders are just starting. The season pass will also arrive, but we will find out more about it in the future.
