Life on Mars: Why possible biosignatures are often misjudged
British researchers have warned in a study of “false” evidence of traces of life on Mars. As evidence of this, they fielded a four-billion-year-old meteorite that was found in Antarctica in the mid-1980s.
At the end of 1984, a rock weighing almost two kilograms was discovered in Antarctica, which a few years later was identified as a Martian meteorite. The stone, which is more than four billion years old and is called Allan Hills 84001 after its location, landed on earth around 13,000 years ago.
