Skoda’s successful e-car: internal VW competitor returns
Things can continue at Skoda: The Czech car manufacturer is resuming production at the main plant. The current successful model is now being built there again: The Skoda Enyaq iV is an electric car with which the Czechs even outperformed the parent company Volkswagen.

Skoda is building electric cars again: Enyaq iV and Coupé RS are returning
The Enyaq iV returns to the market. Officially, Skoda’s electric car has never been gone, but production at the main plant in Mladá Boleslav has been at a standstill for weeks during the course of the Ukraine war. This is now over, as the manufacturer announces.
Production has resumed, initially in smaller quantities. At the beginning should be around 1,000 electric SUVs per week roll off the assembly line (source: Skoda). If construction goes back to full capacity, 370 e-cars should be built per day. This volume is being targeted gradually over the next two months.

However, success is subject to the condition that Skoda in the future Supply of components can ensure. As with other car manufacturers, the war in Ukraine partially interrupted the supply of supplies. The VW Group was particularly badly hit by the lack of wiring harnesses from a Ukrainian partner company.
While Skoda can now get started again, ID production at the German VW locations was pushed back weeks ago. The reason should be clear: In the course of the chip crisis, VW has shown how flexible it can be with the distribution of critical components if necessary. Scarce chip contingents were therefore awarded to Porsche and Audi, which make more profits in sales per car. Similar should the Prioritize this time too be expired.
However, this does not mean that customers will receive their newly purchased models immediately. VW boss Herbert Diess has announced that the entire group is sold out for 2022.
