Samsung has announced the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro for the Netherlands. The rugged Xcover smartphone is the most powerful to date in the series and is in the shops for 609 euros.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro is robust
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro is a rugged phone that can take a beating and a splash of water thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and MIL-STD-810H and IP68 certification. According to Samsung, the phone is therefore ideal for parcel deliverers, sales employees or police officers, for example. The Galaxy XCover 6 Pro can also be operated in work environments where gloves are required or where employees work in the rain. To do this, the Touch Sensitivity settings can be adjusted.
We also see a lot of information that had already surfaced through rumors, such as the 6.6-inch TFT screen with an FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G that is also included in the Galaxy A52s. There is also 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage memory that can be expanded with a memory card of up to 1 TB. The phone comes with a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra wide-angle camera. On the front is an 8 MP selfie camera.
New is the support for the 5G network. Recognizable features are the removable battery and the extra buttons. You can exchange the 4050 mAh yourself and give the buttons a function. Using Knox Capture, the button can be used as a barcode scanner. You can also set the button as a walkie-talkie via push-to-talk. A charger, like most Samsung phones, is not included.
Lots of updates
Samsung will give the device up to five years of security updates and four additional version updates after launch. So you can expect security updates until 2027 and count on Android 13, Android 14, Android 15 and Android 16.
