Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 gets bigger battery

The first information about the Galaxy Tab S9 models has only recently emerged. The Android tablets are said to be waterproof and protected against dust for the first time. But that’s not all, because according to the latest information, the inner values are also being upgraded properly. According to this, a new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 should work in the Galaxy Tab S9 tablets, which has even more power than in the Galaxy S23 smartphones. That would Android tablet are among the fastest models in the world.

So that the Galaxy Tab S9 does not run out of breath so quickly, the battery should be bigger. According to the current leak, the battery should increase from 8,000 mAh to 8,500 mAh (source: SamMobile). That doesn’t sound like much at first, but in combination with the new Qualcomm processor, which works much more efficiently, the battery life should be significantly better. You have already seen that with the Galaxy S23 (test).

With the Galaxy Tab S9, S9 Plus and S9 Ultra there should be three models again. One can probably assume that the battery will be slightly larger and the better processor installed in all tablets. So you can expect a solid upgrade.

When will the new Samsung tablets appear?

Insiders are currently assuming that the new Galaxy Tab S9 tablets will be presented in the fall. Probably at an unpacked event in August or September, where Samsung will also show the new folding cell phones directly. None of this has been confirmed yet, because Samsung does not keep a comprehensible rhythm, especially with the Android tablets. We will keep you up to date.
