Samsung Galaxy S20 series gets One UI 4.1 full of new features

Samsung is rolling out a new major update for the devices in the Galaxy S20 series in the Netherlands and Belgium. All three models will be updated with the One UI 4.1 update available for the S20. This along with a new security update.

One UI 4.1 for Galaxy S20

The three models in the Galaxy S20 series are being updated by Samsung with a new major update. One UI 4.1 is available for the Samsung Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20+ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra, an update that has already become available for several smartphones in recent times. With this major update, various functions, which we know from, for example, the Galaxy S22 +, are added to the three models from the S20 series.

Theo reports that his Galaxy S20 has received the update. New features that you can now use include the Smart Widget, which allows you to combine multiple widgets into one. With RAM Plus you can virtually expand the working memory and there are also portrait improvements for the camera. Samsung also states that some Samsung apps have been improved, including support for Color Palette, where colors from the background are copied into the interface of (more) apps. Finally, there are improvements in the Game Optimizing Service, which fine-tunes energy consumption and heat production.

Samsung also provides security update March 2022 for the Galaxy S20 series. The update for the Galaxy S20 has a size of 867MB.
