Samsung Galaxy A51 receives an update to Android 11 and One UI 3.0

Company Samsung Xiaomi, together with Chinese competitor Xiaomi, has been the most active manufacturer in terms of updates to its smartphones in recent months. What was the first to get the latest system Android 11 and superstructure One UI 3.0 of course more expensive models. Some time ago, however, it started and updated even the cheaper ones than the Samsung Galaxy M31. According to the portal SamMobile is next in line Samsung Galaxy A51.

The popular model also received the latest security patch

Although the Samsung Galaxy A51 is not one of the most expensive Galaxy smartphones, last year it was in the top ten best-selling models from the South Korean manufacturer. It was also popular with Slovak customers, which is why Slovak operators have it on offer in 2021. It was introduced in December 2019 with the Android 10 system and the One UI 2.0 extension.

New update with label A515FXXU4DUB1 upgrades them to Android 11 and One UI 3.0. It is currently available in Russia and will gradually expand to other markets, including Slovakia. Smartphone owners will certainly appreciate the February security patch, which increases the security of the system. This is also enhanced by the new app licensing system for Android 11.

The One UI 3.0 extension, in turn, improves the graphical interface such as icons and other graphical elements. Every owner will definitely notice the change, because the Galaxy A51 has a high-quality 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD + resolution. Originally, One UI 3.0 was planned for this model later, but the company decided to please customers. The update can also be installed manually, but we recommend waiting for its availability in the form of an OTA update.

Samsung is active in the updates, but also the competition

Samsung has started updating its smartphones to the latest Android 11 system in late autumn. Of course, last year’s flagship models of the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 series, including the Galaxy S20 FE, were the first to receive it. The flagship of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series from 2019 followed.

Their modified versions of Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite were not forgotten either. The update of the expensive folding devices Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip was also not surprising. The surprise was definitely Android 11 for cheaper models Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M31.

But the competition is also active. Nokia has updated its first Nokia 8.3 5G model to Android 11 this week. Xiaomi has updated a number of its smartphones, including models of the standalone Redmi brand. An example is Redmi Note 9S. Huawei again brought the EMUI 11 superstructure to the Huawei P40, P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro models.

Motorola has now started distributing Android 11 for its very first Motorola moto g pro smartphone. OnePlus has previously updated the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro models. They received OxygenOS 11 built on Android 11. The Japanese company Sony again recently launched an update for its smartphones Xperia 10 II, Xperia 5 II or Xperia 1 and 5.
