Review of FIFA 22 -apkrig

We can hardly imagine the start of the autumn season without a share of sports titles. Although the dates of their launch have changed over time, basketball, hockey and football simply cannot be missed. With the arrival of new consoles and the growing number of their owners, however, we again got into an unpleasant state, where diametrically different games are released under the same name, and this problem is perhaps even more acute than last year. Because a year ago, the developers of EA Sports were just flirting with the next-gen version of their football simulation, they rolled up their sleeves to make it the best possible version in the development of this year’s PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and they did it. As a result, however, it means that players on the PC, respectively. the previous generation has been sharpening consoles and will lose a number of successful improvements as well as some partners for online gaming. By that I simply say that FIFA is not like FIFA and you should carefully consider the approach to this year’s whether you are planning to buy a new console.

Since there is no point in evaluating other years of sports games as completely new titles, this time my evaluation will be in the spirit of comparison with last year’s versions. Thanks to that, I can confirm at the outset that no matter where you play – except for Switch, people from EA Sports probably don’t like it – you will get a better game than a year ago. More fun, a little richer in content and visibly innovated in some places. It was time, because last year I was not very satisfied and a slight progress can finally be seen in the PC, respectively. old-gen version. It is about lighting, which is even more significantly improved in the version for PS5 and Xbox Series, more capable artificial intelligence in attack and defense and a slightly expanded menu in career and Volta mode. On the other hand, don’t expect a big leap, given that in many places FIFA has remained completely identical for several years and this also applies to this year. I also remind you that a year ago I awarded the PC version 5/10, so sticking my head at least a little above the average cannot be considered a goddamn victory. But this year’s FIFA is much better, when you switch to the Xbox Series or PlayStation 5. Personally, I would compare my own move from the computer in the study to the TV in the living room to the best transfer of this season, and it doesn’t change the fact that the main our household manager disagreed.

But I won’t lie to you, even the developers want the players to score goals, so unrealistic goal throws are taking place this year as well, when the score spills over from side to side.

In general, FIFA 22 is a bit slower than a year ago, perhaps to make the novelty in the form of explosive sprints stand out. Although it sounds like another marketing proclamation, even in real football, players who can accelerate on the first few meters and do not sprint like crazy to the goal all the time have an advantage. Therefore, I have not the slightest reservations about how FIFA 22 handles the new element, especially when I am not the one who has to prevent such an escape. But I won’t lie to you, even the developers want the players to score goals, so unrealistic goal throws are taking place this year as well, when the score spills over from side to side. One because the opponent uses the described acceleration. Other times, because the twisted shots end up in the opponent’s goal, perhaps even if you drop them from thirty meters. And we must not forget reason number one, namely that everyone plays for PSG in the same way. This is not to say, however, that the defense has not changed, and especially the goalkeepers, who also add a lot of new animations to the next-gen consoles in the wreath of improved interventions.

Really better movement

Much has been said about HyperMotion, which is exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. But even here, I have to admit that under all the videos about the preparation of animations and the statements about the revolution, there is really an improvement in the movement of all players and another shift to reality. It’s hard to judge whether the reduction of fairground animations when performing breakthrough loops is a side effect, but if you simply want to go one-on-one in the current years and use one of the finesse, FIFA 22 does not lose its more authentic face. Again, this statement cannot be applied completely universally to all versions of the game and the moments you get into while playing. In addition, the collisions on the PC and the old gene have not been reworked, so inaccuracies occur again in the clash of two or more players, and a huge technological intergenerational gap can be seen, especially in this respect. But what both versions have made progress in is the quality of the overall presentation, even if, for example, the animation of the starts or warm-up before the match looks the same. These are the textures used, probably the more moderate lighting and lower saturation of all colors, which suddenly make both versions of the new FIFY a more sober but believable spectacle, including a change in the overall touch when changing the time of day or weather. The experience is also aided by pronounced squeaks, such as the reworked behavior of the nets in the goal. I am not joking. But even these little things, which have enough time left compared to last year, underline the next-gene care that the new developers have given and further emphasize that players on PS4 and Xbox One will soon have to switch to newer ones in order to make the best impression. machinery.

As for the game offer, FIFA already remains consistent in the described versions. The career regime has changed, in which you can create your own club and place it alongside others in the selected competition. The manager can fire you from the team if you do not perform the assigned tasks in a redesigned dynamic system, which is a nice addition with a layer of extra motivation. New mini-games have also been added to the game, which are written for both career and Volta, where they are playable – a little pointlessly – only during the weekends in Volta Arcade mode. There are currently eight of them, they include, for example, football football, soccer or target shooting, and for fulfilling them you gain experience or other money to buy cosmetic nonsense. It is in Volta – but of course also in standard matches – that the emphasis is on cooperation with other players, which can be satisfying and at the same time very annoying. If you don’t have a bunch of three other friends who would like to play with you, you have to rely on matchmaking, which is like a box of chocolates. Either it tastes good or it will drive you solidly and your teeth will hurt, but you know it. In other words, if the pairing system passes you a teammate who, on the other hand, does not want to pass at all, it is a pain. But I was mostly lucky and it must be admitted that even Volta, yes, Volta, can be quite fun, even if it doesn’t add anything new.

Football is for everyone

I must not forget the girls and soccer players, who can speak for the first time in the Pro Clubs mode – ie local matches of 11 players against another 11 – but here, logically, it depends much more on the teammates. If you enjoy the statistics, you may enjoy the redesigned half-time and post-match screens, where you can see details about the performance of individual players and the team as a whole. During the matches, you may also be a little surprised by commentator Alex Scott, who joins the team and becomes the first woman to speak to FIFY players from headphones and speakers. In my opinion, her performance does not stand out in any way, which is probably good for the player and Alex himself, but I perceive it as the demolition of a certain wall and I guess that in the future – especially for commenting on women’s matches – others will join.

FIFA Ultimate Team is an e-sports standard and a place that again evokes a lot of passions.

And it probably wouldn’t be FIFA anymore if the developers didn’t devote most of their efforts to fashion, thanks to which the series enjoys considerable popularity even among investors and the management of Electronic Arts. FIFA Ultimate Team is an e-sports standard and a place that evokes a lot of passions. Personally, I don’t have to take fantasy football, I’m not hiding it in any way, but in this mode it is clear that it stands in the first place and the developers want to keep players on their toes at all times. That’s why they’ve redesigned the system of matches in divisions, from which you don’t move wildly up and down like in the past. Instead, the redesigned model takes into account the points of reference, and everything actually resembles one big battle pass, in which you try to get as far as possible within a given season. Whether it’s good or not will only prove time – at this point it is still too early to assess the impact on the overall functioning of FUTka and goal search – but personally it does not seem like a bad system, especially when it is clearly understandable to players and comes with better defined rewards, resp. tasks that must be completed to obtain them. As for building your team, the mode has undergone several adjustments in the controls, which have been brought almost to perfection over the years, and the only thing the developer is really experimenting with is the way to unpack new packages with footballers.

Once a loot box, always a loot box

We have already discussed that they will include so-called preview packages in the game, which will reveal the complete content to you and you have 24 hours to buy the package or wait for the rotation. But I don’t think the controversy over the definition of FUT as gambling has changed much here, only the risky move – in which you are giving your own money – is moving to the point where the first preview package is already in front of you. For the payment of the appropriate amount of money, the experience is again uncertain – mathematically probability – whether or not there will be a coveted football player in the next package. Legislatively, this will probably get rid of certain problems for EA, but morally it is almost the same as has been the case in recent years, and I understand why some players may have a pretty serious problem with this. On the other hand – and it must be said – if you do not want to play in the elite division and do not crave the ranking of the 200 best players in the world, you can play FUT without investment and enjoy this mode as well. In the end, I also found players with a rating of 80 and more in free and other packages, bought purely for the game currency, and that is – admitly – quite solid material.

So what can the prophetic say about the game, which is supposed to be with us next season now, on the day of its release? I enjoy the game more than last year, that’s for sure and I talked about it in the introduction. I like the technical processing on the next-gene, where the game experienced a much bigger shift thanks to the HyperMotion system than I expected. I’m glad that the game has slowed down a bit and gives space to players who are not necessarily looking for the only laser-accurate path to success and are not afraid to marry a team other than PSG. I am not very enthusiastic about the licensing war with Konami, because of which there are incomplete club competitions on both sides of the barricade – a typical Italian league in the current year of FIFY – and as a Czech football fan I am sad that our small league has not found a place between Mexican and Romanian. But we are still quite good, because the Slovak brothers do not even have a national team in FIFA, let alone one of the clubs of the first league. Czechs can rely on the three-leaf clover Sparta, Slavia and Pilsen, which is probably better than nothing. But I still warn – if you want to play on PC and old-gene, think about whether the better lighting of stadiums and a few cosmetic changes here and there are worth the investment. There is still the option to play on a PC for an EA Play Pro subscription, we should not forget that, or play a 10-hour trial as part of this or even cheaper EA Play subscription, but the important thing will probably take place on the PS5 for the next four to five years. and Xbox Series. We need to come to terms with this and arrange ourselves according to the fact that FIFA will not wait.

Evaluation

It is not easy to satisfy everyone with one review, but we have decided to combine our impressions of the two significantly different versions into one. At the end, however, the corresponding mark for the PC / PS4 / Xbox One and PS5 / Xbox Series versions should be lit, so – here you have them.
