‘Release of iPhone SE 2022 is probably at the end of April’

The first new iPhone of 2022 is an iPhone SE. And there is a good chance that the iPhone SE 2022 release will take place in late April or early May. This reports a reliable Apple analyst.

The news about the third-generation iPhone SE is reported on Twitter by Ross Young, an expert in the display industry. He has proven in the past to be knowledgeable when it comes to future Apple products.

Young writes that the panel production of the iPhone SE 2022 will start this month. Final assembly is likely to begin in March. Based on this schedule, Young expects Apple to launch the iPhone SE 3 in the second half of April or early May.

The previous iPhone SE models also appeared in the spring. The launch of the first iPhone SE took place in March 2016. The second generation iPhone SE was announced in April 2020. Earlier, the reliable Mark Gurman of Bloomberg that Apple is hosting a spring event to announce the new iPhone SE and other new hardware.

Renewals iPhone SE

Not much will change with the iPhone SE 2022. It will most likely have the exact same design as the current version. So you can expect a 4.7-inch screen again and the home button with Touch ID is present again. The main changes are a more powerful A15 Bionic chip and 5G support, which makes the entry-level iPhone much more future-proof.

We expect the price to remain unchanged. This would mean that the iPhone SE 2022 has a starting price of 489 euros. This makes the SE by far the cheapest phone that Apple offers, while it is completely up to date with the A15 and 5G support.

And while the third-generation iPhone SE has yet to appear, Apple is already working on the next version. In 2023 or 2024, Apple will probably release the fourth generation, which does have a new design. In an earlier tweet, Ross Young reported that the iPhone SE 4 has a 5.7-inch screen. It is not yet clear whether the SE will have a modern design with Face ID.
