quarter readers use Waze for navigation

25 percent of Androidworld readers use the Waze app to navigate somewhere. In any case, Google (owner of Waze) is doing good business: the majority, 40 percent, use the classic, Google Maps. It turns out to be difficult for other navigation apps to break through, although there are readers who have chosen a different app to get from a to b.

Waze

Waze works according to Sports diver good with Android Auto, but Rob W has some problems in his car. “I used Waze, but it hasn’t worked with Google auto for some time now. So it’s Google maps. We once had a word for navigation in the Netherlands that was inherent to a Dutch company: TomTom.” On?’ and ‘I don’t need directions, I’ll get there with TomTom’ became very common things to say at the time.Although TomTom is not used very often anymore as a stand-alone device, the company’s technology can still be found in many ways within other technology. And their own TomTom Go, which is still used by a good 11 percent of readers.TomTom MyDrive can count on fewer fans: it is used by two percent, while TomTom Navigation is used by 3 percent to navigate.

AW Poll

OsmAnd, MAPS.ME, HERE WeGo, Mapy.cz, Magic Earth, ANWB Reizen are also used, but only sparingly by a few percent of readers. What is slightly more popular, that is Flitsmeister. Many people know the app from the radio: often when the traffic information comes along, the speed cameras are mentioned via Flitsmeister to help people avoid a fine (and above all: to drive more safely). Finally, there is of course Sygic, the navigation app used by 8 percent of readers. Daddy Longstocking for example: “Recently before driving Sygic, but due to better read faster file update Google maps. I enjoyed using Osmand for cycling. Often used with cycling routes in gpx. Ideal for cycling because it automatically switches the screen on and off during the route and navigation, which saves a lot of battery. Because I now have a new Garmin watch with good clear maps, I also use it.”

1 percent do not use any navigation apps at all and 3 percent still use another app, such as Amigo. Ecalpemos: “To your complete satisfaction, use Amigo, powered by Tomtom.” Still plenty of TomTom.
