PostNL app has now integrated the not-home preferences

From now on, the PostNL app lets you set delivery preferences in the app, without being directed to the postal service’s website. This works for both standard delivery and delivery when you are not at home.

PostNL delivery preferences

The PostNL app has refined its interface regarding delivery preferences. The function has been part of the app for some time, but PostNL sent users to the website every time they wanted to change their preferences. From now on, this is built directly into a menu of the app. That’s a slightly nicer solution.

If you want to change delivery preferences, you can do so via the My Account Tab -> My delivery preferences. There you choose standard delivery preferences and the preferences in case you are not at home. you can have packages delivered at home or at a PostNL point. If you do not open the door, the delivery person can deliver your package to an agreed location, at the neighbors or at a PostNL point. Those options have therefore not changed.

Appointed place

Keep in mind that you are personally liable for damage or theft of your package when the delivery person delivers to an agreed location. The integration of the delivery options in the app is part of version 8.7, which is now available to users. PostNL also indicates in the changelog in the Google Play Store that errors in the app have also been fixed.
