Players get angry at Sony for the truncated Godfall in PS Plus -apkrig
As you probably already know, Sony has confirmed earlier unofficial leaks and announced that Godfall: Challenger Edition, Lego DC Super-Villains and Mortal Shell will be available on PlayStation Plus subscribers as of December 7. The latter two are in the native PS4 version, while Godfall offers both the PS4 and PS5 versions. The titles will be available until January 3 and are still available PSVR games The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners and Until You Fall, while The Persistence also has a nonVR PS5 version.

But Godfall is not what the fans hoped for. The so-called Challenger Edition, as a different subtitle suggests, focuses on only the three endgame modes Lightbringer, Dreamstones and Ascended Tower of Trials. And players will automatically cast this phase, even if they don’t have access to all the equipment. If you want the rest of the game, the story mode itself and the campaign that precedes it, you need to upgrade to Deluxe Edition. This is the only way to get to the basic Godfall and Fire & Darkness campaigns. In other words, you won’t get the full version in PS Plus, you will have to pay $ 45 for that.
As you can probably imagine, many players are not very happy about this and argue that Godfall was one of the worst rated games that came with a new generation of consoles. And now this. Counterplay Games and Gearbox, which is the publisher, simply do not put the classic version into PS Plus, but a kind of truncated new version. It should be noted that it is not entirely common for PS Plus to hide a separate incomplete version.
Free and no subscription to the Epic Games Store
The same edition will also appear in the Epic Games Store. It is to be available here from December 9 to 16, but it will be completely free and without any subscription. Godfall: Challenger Edition will then sell for $ 15. This is not the first step in connection with Godfall. The game for the PS5 and PC was supposed to be one of those that could only be created thanks to new hardware, the developers were happy to suggest. Additionally, however, it arrived on the PS4. On the other hand, it is necessary to admit to the authors that they worked on the title for the next year and expanded it.
The parties to the PS Plus program also note the slight differences in Asia and Japan in terms of the December offer. In addition to the named games, subscribers will receive Judgment as a bonus title. However, this is not an absolute rarity, similar deviations sometimes occur.
