Open the secret cow level in Diablo 2: Resurrected

The secret cow level is probably one of the most famous Easter eggs in gaming history. Nevertheless, the entrance is well hidden. We’ll show you how you can open the legendary Moo-Moo farm.

Open secret cow level: requirements

In order to be able to open the secret cow level, you must first have defeated the final boss Baal in the respective difficulty levelwhich you will find at the end of the fifth act. As soon as you have defeated it on the normal difficulty level, for example, you can also open the secret cow level on the same difficulty level. On the nightmare difficulty level, however, you first have to defeat Baal one more time and thus complete the final quest.

This is how you open the secret cow level

In the first act, increase the waypoint The field of stones. There you have the campaign ready in the course of the process the portal to Tristram opened. Find the portal and step through it. When you arrive in Tristram, you have to go to the upper left corner of the level to run.

There you will find Host’s corpse. Click on them to receive lots of gold and the item Host’s leg to be rewarded. Return the leg in inventory to the hunters’ camp.

Go to Akara in the warehouse and buy a tome of the city portal from her. It doesn’t matter how many scrolls it contains. Then combine the host’s leg and the tome of the city portal in the Horadrim cubeto open the red portal to the Moo-Moo farm.

The secret cow level is worthwhile for this

The secret cow level is more than a fun Easter egg, it’s actually a good place to farm. In addition to the Countess, the Kuhlevel is a good spot to collect runes and use them to create powerful rune words.

What’s more, instead of just runes you will also find lots of matching blanks with the cows, i.e. gray objects with empty sockets in which you can insert the runes. If you are looking for precious stones, jewels and giant spells, you will also find what you are looking for on the Moo-Moo farm.
