OnePlus tweets from an iPhone after an unglamorous trophy

It happens that manufacturers of Android smartphones post tweets from an iPhone and some notice it. The latest is OnePlus, in response to a tweet from Marques Brownlee (MKBHD).

Each year, MKBHD offers the best prizes according to several categories. Here are the winners of the 2022 edition :

  • Best big phone: Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Best Small Phone: ASUS Zenphone 9
  • Best Camera/Video: Apple iPhone 14 Pro
  • Better battery life: ASUS Rog Phone 6
  • Best Design: Nothing Phone (1)
  • Best Value: Google Pixel 7
  • Biggest fiasco: OnePlus 10T
  • Best Model (MVP): Google Pixel 7
  • The most improved: Google Pixel 7

As we can see, everyone received positive trophies, except OnePlus who got their knuckles rapped. The manufacturer has disappointed many users with its various decisions and what the OnePlus 10 brings.

The official OnePlus Twitter account responded to MKBHD: “How do we claim our trophy? We’ll prove you wrong in 2023. #OnePlus11”tweeted the brand, alluding to its OnePlus 11. The YouTuber with 16 million subscribers then noticed that the tweet in question had been sent from an iPhone.

You should know that Twitter recently removed the name of the application used for tweets (Twitter for iPhone, Twitter for Android, etc.). But third-party apps like Tweetbot still show the information. It is therefore technically always possible to know via which means a message has been posted.
