OnePlus Nord 2: the last secret of the 5G cell phone revealed
At least now it is clear where the journey of the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 will go. As OnePlus officially announced, a Qualcomm processor will no longer be used. Instead, the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1200 with 5G modem is used.
OnePlus Nord 2: MediaTek instead of Qualcomm
For the first OnePlus Nord, the manufacturer still relied on the Snapdragon 765G from Qualcomm as the processor. For the successor, however, they have thought of something else: OnePlus will be the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G processor obstruct and expect some advantages from it.
According to OnePlus, the cooperation with MediaTek offers improvements AI-assisted photography as well as a higher dynamic range in the display of the cell phone. The processor in the OnePlus Nord 2 should also have a lot to offer when it comes to gaming. In this context, the manufacturer speaks of more efficient power consumption and improved thermal management. Latency should also be kept low.
The powerful processor from MediaTek was presented in early 2021 and can be found in the Realme GT Neo and the Oppo Reno 6 Pro, among others. One of the highlights is the global 5G functionality. In contrast to the competition from Qualcomm, there is also a 5G dual SIM standby possible.

OnePlus Nord 2: Presentation on July 24th?
According to rumors, OnePlus wants the Nord 2 on July 24, 2021. The date has not yet been officially confirmed. Marketing for mobile phones began at least indirectly on the OnePlus channels (source: Twitter and Instagram).
The OnePlus Nord 2 will probably have an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hertz. The screen could be on a 6.43 inches diagonal come. On the back, a triple camera can be assumed, which enables pictures with up to 50 MP. The battery should have a capacity of 4,500 mAh and can be charged with 30 watts.
