OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro receive an update with a number of improvements

Last year’s flag smartphones OnePlus 9 a 9 Pro have received a major update that brings better security and a number of other improvements. The information was provided by the portal GSMArena.

The update should already be available in Europe

The update is numbered C.44 and should be available in all markets. The January security patch should fix several bugs and vulnerabilities in the system. You can also expect improved battery life, a smoother fingerprint unlock process, better charging animations, and less scrolling delays in notifications.

Another improvement is the addition of three adjustable levels for dark mode. Work Life Balance is now available to all users, along with automatic mode switching and customized app notification profiles. You’ll also get camera enhancements, 5G connections, AOD Canvas, and Gallery.

The update is distributed in the form of OTA and the system should notify you of its availability automatically. Of course, you can also check it manually in Settings. Before updating, make sure that your smartphone battery is at least 70% charged and that your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Of course, if your data package is not very limited, you can also use the mobile data network.

How is the competition?

The competition is also active in the updates. This week, Samsung upgraded the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G smartphone to the Android 12 system in Slovakia. The Nokia 1250 or the flagship Asus Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip smartphones also recently received the Android 12 system. And Huawei updated the flagship smartphone Huawei P30 Pro from 2019 this week.
